Kathy came back from our second committee girls dinner last night to find an e-mail from another one of our classmates, Lois (Richards) Kennedy. Read on: Hi, Kathy, I'm Lois Richards Kennedy. You probably thought I drifted off the face of the earth. Sorry I didn't make it to the reunion, we were in NC w/family for Thanksgiving. I've looked at your pictures. I recognized a lot of the ladies, but not very many of the fellows. I've been married to Ralph Kennedy since Aug of 69. We've live in Arlington, VA since then. We've raised two boys - Michael 36 (in Mar) and Steve 33. Both are married and each has a daughter, Madison (5)and Mackenzie (4mos). So we are in grandparent's heaven. I work for the Department of the Army for 25 years in Nov and will be elibigle to retire in Aug 09. I spent 11 years in the Pentagon and 4 years in Crystal City (we were in Crystal City on 9/11). I'm now working for Program Executive Officer Soldier at Fort Belvoir, VA. We've built our retirement home on Lake Gaston, NC and are just now waiting till I can go and fix up the house we've been in since 1971...I keep in touch with Kathy Patty (we've been friends since 1957 (2nd grade), Barb Shank since 1959 and Linda Blazek since probably 1960. When the weather turns predictable again in the spring I will be coming up to Latrobe at least once a month to do "Mommy Duty." My mom is still there and will be 82 in July. About a month ago I had dinner with Millie Lazur's cousin Peggy Ermerins. I have forgotten Peggy's maiden name. Her family ran the Sputnut Shop in the 60's I think.
I'm saddened to hear of our classmates who have gone on. Well, next year most of us will be 60...I certainly do want to be involved in the next reunion.
-------
Thanks so much, Lois. We do get excited about hearing what everyone's been doing. Hopefully it will spur some more of you sitting out there to send us your updates.

Thanks for your postings on the the website. I enjoy reading them. FYI if any of you get the CMT channel and see the "Redneck Weddings" that's me standing in the muck and mud (as Mayor of Hunker) marrying the couple on top of the demolition derby cars. When I committed to do the wedding I had no idea it was being recorded for a television show. The camera crew and director were great and I had lots of fun in the end eventhough I still haven't gotten the mud out of my boots. Keep up the good work and thanks so much!!! Pat Brigode
Pat, thank you...I'm so glad we still have classmates who "tune in".
